Music Review - Maha Mritunjay
The Mahamrityunjay mantra is supposed to liberate a person from bondage of death and rebirth and freedom from all worldly troubles, thus paving the way for attaining complete realization. In Pankaj Udhas's voice the mantras come alive. Listening to his chant could give a great sense of relief.

Music Review - Suno Zara
The album is subtitled 'when love comes calling'. And is perhaps appropriate for a classical singer turning to light music. Devki proves that she's capable of rendering all kinds of songs - it may be a Sufi number like Allahu or a peppy one or a folksy one. She proves that a classical base qualifies one for both light and film singing as well. Her two compositions with Roop Kumar Rathod are lovely too.

Music Review - Koi aane wala hai
The talented twosome of Bilal Maqsood and Faisal Kapadia are back with a new collection. At first listening there are a couple of tracks which hold your attention. Viz- Keh diya and Sonay do both these are very interesting composition. In Sonay do Bilal mesmerizes you with the dream like quality of the track. Koi aaney wala hai is beautiful too, very pleasing to listen to.

Music Review - K for Kishore
This is pure nostalgia and issued at this time, one suspects to cash in one of the TV shows of the same name. Of course there is nothing more pleasurable than hearing the king himself. Songs like 'Maana janaab ne pukara nahin' and 'Nakhrewali' make you smile while 'Mmain sitaron ka tarana' or 'Surma mera nirala' take you into the realm of pure fun entertainment.

Music Review - Sampooran
The album has eight numbers vocal and instrumentation with the sensitive fingers of Mekaal Hasan forcing you into a frenzied response even as he gets into the groove of things. Apart from his guitar it is Mohd Ahsan papu on the flute who makes you strain to sieve the sound through the noisy drums and keyboards. It's incredibly virtuous-the gentle flute so casually played that it seems entirely effortless.
