| Music Review - Thoda Pyar Thoda Magic If its this trio of composers you expect worthy stuff and they do deliver if not uniformly. Pyar ke liye immediately makes you listen with anticipation whereas Lazy Lamhe is gentle on the listener. All in all the album is good without being outstanding but with Shankar Ehsaan and Loys music you can never gauge when the music grows on you and you start humming it despite yourself.  Music Review - Dhoom Dhadaka Roop Kumar Rathod as composer suggests some virtuous compositions but here what we get is the usual filmy fare. Was that just his brief or was the film uninspiring? Shashi Ranjan as director just cannot be inspiring. The title song by Daler Mehndi and Jaspinder Narula is a pure Punjabi effort, noisy and aggressive, very Punjabi. On the whole this track wasn't the right vehicle for an accomplished musician like Roop Kumar Rathod. Music Review - Don Muthuswami Anu Malik fluctuates in his compositions, something to do with the quality of the banner. After the nondescript work in Woodstock villa, Muthuswami seems to have inspired him to bring out some inspired work. Theres a patch where dialogues from the film feature in the album, a fairly good USP for the album. Despite the karaoke version the album is a small one. Music Review - Anamika-The untold story Good lyrics and pacy Anu malik help make it a fine listen. 'Aashiqui', with Shaan's youthful rendition, holds promise of vintage Anu Malik peppy arrangements. One notices that Malik gives his best to the big productions otherwise he loses steam. Though the album started of well with Aashiqui it went down progressively. Music Review - Bhootnath This album has several reasons why you must listen to it, apart from Amitabh Bachan singing it has introduced the bubbly Juhi Chawla as a singer too. Juhi has a pleasing voice and under good composers she might just do well as playback singer. Bachan's number 'Mere buddy' is pure vintage Bachchan entertaining and in tune little Armaan Malik singing for the kid alongside makes this a number that promises great fan following. News Wizard |
