War on potholes continues in the rain (Richmond Times-Dispatch)
Despite recent rains that have caused more potholes across the Richmond region, road crews have been out in force to combat the pesky axle-breakers. A pothole blitz proclaimed by Gov. Bob McDonnell in February has reassigned Virginia Department of Transportation crews to pothole-patching duty in place of trash pickup and other non-emergency road maintenance.

ENID Enid city commissioners will discuss problems with the railroad overpass on East Maine during their study session tonight. Mayor John Criner said a complaint from a resident alerted him to the number of times trucks run into the overpass, which is lower than normal height.
